Spring
Spring fertiliser applied to encourage strong growth of the plant after winter. Weed control carried out to aid grass growth by reducing competition.
Early Summer
Summer scorch-free fertiliser applied to keep growth strong and help reduce the effects of dry conditions. Weed control carried out to aid grass growth by reducing competition.
Late Summer
Late Summer fertiliser applied to enable the grass to take full advantage of late summer rain and help it recover from the summer.
Difficult to control weeds are targeted with specialised weedkillers.
Late Autumn
Late autumn fertiliser applied to help strengthen the grass plant for the winter months, aiming for less growth but with a healthy structure.
Moss control is targeted at this time when the moss is most susceptible.
Winter
Moss control applied to keep the lawn moss free during the high risk winter months. Winter fertiliser applied to maintain grass in good health and harden leaf structure against cold and disease.

Lawn renovations
Aeration – just like on the best sports venues this machine pierces the top layers of the the soil to aid aeration and improve drainage. This is
especially good for the heavier soils and those with compaction.
Scarification to remove thatch – this professional machine is like a vertical lawnmower. “Thatch” is the dead organic material which collects at the soil surface, encouraging moss and causing health problems for grass.
Overseeding – problems of bare patches and thin lawns can be solved by overseeding lawns at the correct time of year using our professional equipment and a high quality seed mixture, all at
a fraction of the cost of returfing..
Weed control on driveways, paths and patios
TopGrass can offer year round weed control on these areas, including block paving, gravel, tarmac and concrete. Remember weeds are incredibly powerful - if left uncontrolled they can lift Tarmac and crack paving slabs. TopGrass can reduce the risk of this happening with a program of weed control at the same time as the lawn is treated.
Insect and Disease Control
TopGrass can treat your lawn for a range of disease (e.g. red thread, fusarium) and insect problems (e.g. Leatherjackets, worm casts) to help keep your lawn looking its best.
