About Us

We are an independent, family-run lawn care company that was launched in 2005 with the aim of offering a top quality lawn treatment services using the knowledge, materials and equipment of the professional groundsman and applying it to domestic lawns.

TopGrass was set up by two partners (Ian de Courcy and Tom Arnold) whose backgrounds combine experience in treating professional lawns and sports-turf with business expertise from working in quality-driven blue chip companies. All this enables TopGrass to provide you with the best service possible.

We use the same products and type of equipment which are used on professional lawns and sports-turf to obtain the best results for you.

We buy products in bulk so that we can offer you the service at the same cost or less than DIY.

We ensure that all our technicians are trained to the highest standards. The training includes theory and practical sessions with Derek Walder, past President of the Institute of Groundmanship and Independent Turf Consultant.

Our technicians are all police checked to ensure that we put your security and that of your property as a top priority. We cover a wide range of areas across the UK from Essex, to Cambridge to Northampton, Coventry and many more in between!

UK Lawn Care Association conference at Bisham Abbey

TopGrass were well represented at the UK Lawn Care Association conference held at Bisham Abbey, alongside many other members.

The company has been a member of the UK Lawn Care Association (UKLCA, previously known as the UK Lawn Care Network) since2007. The UKLCA website is the place for homeowners to search for Independent Lawn Care Specialists.

UKLCA Members follow a ‘code of practice’ including ‘accreditation’ designed to give you, the customer, the confidence to trust that your lawn is in safe hands. Tom Arnold, the Director of Topgrass, has been a committee member since the formation of the group.

All members are committed to the highest standards of lawn care, providing a knowledgeable, bespoke, efficient and friendly service to homeowners throughout the UK.

 

Derek Walder TopGrass Lawn Care Company Training Day

The entire TopGrass team met up at Staverton golf course in Daventry to partake in team training led by Derek Walder. A long-time advocate of TopGrass, the ex-president of the Institute of Groundsmanship, with 50 years of lawn care experience under his belt, provided an intensive training day for office and field staff alike.
